ABOUT

Hi, I'm Rodney. Welcome.

I hold a Master's in Counselling Psychology and a Master's in Sociology. I am a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and the Canadian Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BC Division).

I place a strong emphasis on the counselling relationship as a foundation for lasting growth. Like many people, I have gone through periods of challenge and uncertainty, and these experiences have deepened my understanding of the importance of feeling heard and understood in the counselling process.

I work with adults of all genders, identities, and backgrounds, and I welcome the full diversity of life experiences. I offer a calm, supportive space where clients can explore what feels difficult to them and work collaboratively toward meaningful change. I am attentive to pace, recognizing that growth unfolds differently for each person and that therapy is most effective when it aligns with your needs and values.

The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.

MY SERVICES

I offer counselling that builds on your strengths and meets you with kindness, dignity, and curiosity. My approach is conversational and collaborative, and I aim to create a welcoming environment where you can gain insight, build resilience and heal at your own pace.

If you are beginning to consider working with a counsellor, or wish to revisit counselling work, I welcome you. It would be a privilege to support you on your journey toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

CONTACT

With respect, I live and work on the traditional unceded homelands of the Lək̓ʷəŋən peoples, represented by the Songhees and Xwsepsum/Esquimalt Nations, and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, represented by the Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout, Tseycum, and Malahat Nations. I am committed to ongoing learning about the impacts of colonization and to reflecting on how this understanding shapes my counselling practice. I strive to offer care that is respectful, culturally responsive, and attentive to the diverse histories and lived experiences of the people I work with.
